About the Opportunity

We're currently looking for a QTS-qualified GCSE Maths Tutor to work with young people across Hampshire who require additional support outside of mainstream education. Working alongside Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored 1:1 tuition to students who may be out of education, awaiting placements, or facing barriers that have impacted their learning. Your ability to adapt lessons, build confidence, and create positive learning experiences will play a key role in helping students progress towards their goals.

Rate: £25-£30 per hour

What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering personalised GCSE Maths tuition on a 1:1 basis
  • Adapting lessons to suit individual learning styles and needs
  • Encouraging engagement and rebuilding confidence in education
  • Supporting students working towards GCSE attainment
  • Creating a positive and consistent learning environment
  • Providing feedback on progress where required

What We're Looking For

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or learning support
  • Strong GCSE Maths subject knowledge
  • Experience supporting students with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, proactive, and flexible approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • A driver is desirable; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire
