Interventions Tutor
Job Details
We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Interventions Tutors to provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support to children and young people who require additional help to overcome barriers to learning.
Working with students both in and outside of mainstream education, you will deliver tailored interventions designed to improve engagement, raise attainment, build confidence, and support educational progress.
Many learners may have additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, anxiety, school avoidance, and other SEND requirements, requiring a flexible and student-centred approach.

The Role
As an Interventions Tutor, you will:
- Deliver targeted educational interventions tailored to individual needs
- Support students to close learning gaps and improve attainment
- Build confidence, motivation, and engagement with learning
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles
- Work closely towards EHCP outcomes and educational goals where applicable
- Provide progress updates and feedback as required
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months' experience working in an educational setting
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, EHCPs, or additional learning needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, creative, and adaptable approach
- Ability to deliver engaging and personalised support sessions
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
