Secondary School Tutor - Poole

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary School Tutors to support students across Poole. This is an excellent opportunity for tutors who are passionate about helping young people improve their academic performance, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
As a Secondary School Tutor, you will deliver tailored one-to-one or small-group sessions, helping students develop their knowledge and skills in subjects such as English, Maths, Science and Functional Skills. You will adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback on students' achievements and development.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
- Location: Poole, Dorset
- Position: Secondary School Tutor
- Subjects: English, Maths, Science and/or Functional Skills
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: Ongoing
- Full-time/Part-time: Part-time
- Pay rate: 25- 30 per hour
- Hours: Flexible
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Desirable but not essential:
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Previous experience working in a UK secondary school
- Experience delivering one-to-one tuition or small-group support
- Up-to-date safeguarding training
TO BE ELIGIBLE, YOU MUST:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate with the relevant children's barred list check, registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one
- Provide two professional references
- Have at least one year's experience working in an educational setting
