The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

Prospero Teaching is currently seeking experienced and compassionate SEND Tutors to support a Year 3 student in the Cheetham Hill area, while they await a new school placement.

The learner has an Autism diagnosis and speaks very limited English/has limited communication.

He is exposed to both Swedish sign and Arabic at home so uses some Arabic to communicate however this is minimum.

He accessed education from Nursery to Year 1 in Sweden where the family was previously based.

He has not been in school since moving to the UK in August 2025.

As a SEND Tutor, you’ll work with learners who require additional educational support due to a range of special educational needs and disabilities.

Every tuition programme is tailored to the individual, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference to a young person’s confidence, engagement and academic progress.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
  • QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (desirable)
  • Experience delivering personalised 1:1 tuition
  • A patient, adaptable and engaging teaching style

Experience supporting learners with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, MLD or speech and language needs is highly desirable.

To be eligible, you must

  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
  • Provide two professional child-related references
