SEND Tutor - Halton

Hours: 5-15 hours per week

Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced SEND Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 educational support to a learner in Halton.
The successful tutor will be confident adapting lessons around individual needs and creating a positive learning environment where the learner can develop both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition
- Plan sessions around individual learning needs
- Adapt resources and teaching approaches
- Support academic progress and confidence
- Encourage positive engagement with education
- Build a trusting professional relationship with the learner
- Monitor and report on progress
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people
- Previous experience supporting learners with SEND
- Patient, flexible and encouraging approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Teaching or tutoring experience desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional child-related references
