Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit an excellent Attendance Officer interested in securing a role within a secondary school.
Your role will be to monitor student attendance, investigate unexplained absences, and work with families to overcome barriers that may stop students going to school.

Responsibilities
- Manage the electronic registration system to track late arrivals and following up on missing data with teaching staff.
- Produce attendance reports to help the Safeguarding Team, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Heads of Year, and the Local Authority identify trends of absence.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Make initial enquiries with parents or carers regarding unexplained absences and punctuality concerns.
- Conduct visits to families' homes to assess the root causes impacting a student's ability to attend.
- Ensure all daily procedures align with the school's child protection and safeguarding policies.
To be eligible
- Hold a valid driving licence and access to a car
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide at least two professional references covering at least 24 months/cover the last 2 years
