Job Opportunity: SEMH Temporary Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start Location: Welling Start Date: ASAP Contract: Temporary-Long term We are currently recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the team at a school supporting children aged 5-19 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. About the Role: Support students with SEMH needs in both group and 1:1 settings Implement personalised behaviour strategies Foster positive relationships with students and staff Maintain a calm, consistent, and proactive approach Collaborate closely with teaching staff and the wider teamEssential Criteria: Proven experience working with children or young people – ideally in SEMH or similar settings Confident, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running Strong communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) Ability to build trust quickly with students and staff Resilience in challenging environments; calm under pressure Excellent behaviour management skills Reliable, proactive, and a team playerWe are looking for individuals who can make an impact from day one.
