THE IDEAL GRADUATE WILL:
- Hold a degree, or be due to graduate, with a minimum predicted or achieved grade of 2:2.
- Be passionate about education and helping young people reach their potential.
- Be able to commit to a full-time position, Monday to Friday.
- Be willing to undergo the necessary safeguarding and reference checks.
- Hold a valid, up-to-date DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one.
THE ROLE
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll gain valuable experience working across the secondary school, supporting students and teachers wherever you're needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help raise attainment.
- Working alongside teachers to support learning across the curriculum.
- Assisting the SENCO with supporting students with additional learning needs, including contributing to individual education plans where appropriate.
- Developing your classroom management and teaching skills.
- Having the opportunity to lead lessons under the supervision of experienced teachers.
- Working towards future teacher training, with support available for graduates who demonstrate the right potential.
