Prospero Teaching are recruiting an experienced GCSE English Tutor to support a learner on a 1:1 basis in Warrington.
The successful candidate will be confident delivering English tuition at GCSE level and able to adapt sessions to strengthen both subject knowledge and learner confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured 1:1 GCSE English tuition
- Support learners with reading, writing and exam preparation
- Identify areas for development and tailor sessions accordingly
- Use engaging resources to maintain learner participation
- Develop confidence and independent learning skills
- Track progress throughout the placement
Requirements
- Strong subject knowledge in GCSE English
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience
- Experience working with secondary-aged learners
- Ability to adapt teaching to individual learning needs
- Excellent communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional child-related references
