Up to 15 hours per week

At Prospero Teaching, we work closely with Local Councils, schools, and SEND teams to support young learners who need additional help outside of the traditional classroom setting. We are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Tutor to work with KS1 and KS2 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Wallsend. These children are not attending full-time school, and we aim to help them overcome their barriers to learning by offering engaging, tailored lessons in Maths, English, and general learning support. We’re seeking passionate tutors who can make a real difference by providing a positive, personalised learning experience.

Role Overview:

  • Pay: Up to £30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Hours: Up to 15 hours per week, flexible around your schedule
  • Location: Wallsend, Tyne and Wear
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group tuition for KS1 & KS2 students with SEN

  • Track progress and provide regular updates to parents and carers
  • Foster a safe, encouraging, and motivating learning environment
  • Complete attendance and feedback reports as required

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting primary-aged children with SEN (ideal but not essential)
  • Ability to travel to Wallsend regularly
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the child workforce (or willing to apply)
  • Two professional references covering the last two years
