Prospero Teaching are supporting welcoming primary schools across the Wallasey area who are looking to appoint full-time Teaching Assistants for long-term roles starting in January. These roles are ideal for individuals with experience working with children or vulnerable adults who are passionate about supporting learning and development within a school environment.
The role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the school, helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment. Working alongside the class teacher and wider support staff, you will assist with lessons, deliver small-group interventions and provide 1:1 support where required. Schools are looking for calm, reliable and proactive individuals who are committed to helping children thrive academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Assisting the class teacher with lessons, routines and classroom activities
- Delivering small-group interventions and targeted support
- Providing 1:1 guidance for pupils who require additional help
- Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
- Helping pupils stay focused, motivated and confident
- Contributing to a safe, supportive and nurturing classroom environment
