GCSE Maths Tutor - Anglesey Location: Anglesey, North Wales Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: October 2026 Duration: Ongoing Prospero Teaching is recruiting an enthusiastic GCSE Maths Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 tuition to learners across Anglesey. The successful candidate will help pupils strengthen their mathematical understanding, address gaps in knowledge and prepare for upcoming assessments and examinations. The Role: Deliver targeted GCSE Maths tuition based on individual learning objectives. Cover key topics such as algebra, number, geometry, statistics and problem-solving. Identify areas requiring additional support and plan focused interventions. Help learners develop effective revision and examination techniques. Adapt resources to suit individual abilities and learning styles. Monitor progress and encourage confidence in Mathematics. Experience, Training and Qualifications: QTS, PGCE or an equivalent relevant teaching qualification is desirable. Strong subject knowledge across the GCSE Maths curriculum. Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners. Experience supporting pupils who have fallen behind with their studies is advantageous. A patient, encouraging and adaptable teaching style. To be eligible for this role, the tutor must: Hold the right to work in the UK. Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one. Provide two professional references, including child-related references.
