This Online Tutor Opportunity is for a professional tutor and qualified UK teacher to bridge learning gaps, raise attainment and prepare students across all age groups. The successful candidate will have outstanding teaching skills both in the classroom and when delivering innovative and engaging online learning and a passion for helping students from a range of backgrounds to develop their Maths skills.

At Prospero Teaching, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We are looking for tutors who are eager to work with children and young people with a variety of learning needs with a creative, flexible and holistic approach to raise attainment and drastically improve the outlook of their educational journey.

Contract/Position Details:

  • Full-time/part-time: Hours on offer to suit all availabilities
  • Minimum rate of pay: GBP25 per hour
  • Hours: Timetable can vary dependent on tutor availability

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Online Tutor:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1 year UK classroom experience
  • Be confident teaching sessions online
  • Provide a firm but fair approach
  • Have recent safeguarding training or be willing to undergo Prospero's course

To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Tutor must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
