We are a specialist education recruitment agency currently seeking a qualified and experienced HLTA to work in a welcoming and supportive primary school in the WF2 area of Wakefield. This is a full-time role, starting immediately and running until the end of the academic year, with the potential for further opportunities.
The Role
- Delivering planned lessons across the primary age range
- Providing PPA cover and supporting class teachers
- Working with individuals and small groups to support learning
- Contributing positively to the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Have recent experience working in a UK primary school
- Be confident delivering lessons independently
- Have strong classroom management and communication skills
- Be flexible, reliable, and committed to supporting pupil progress
Essential Requirements (All Applicants Must Have)
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one through the agency)
- Two professional references, one of which must be from a recent education setting
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
