We are a specialist education recruitment agency currently seeking a qualified and experienced HLTA to work in a welcoming and supportive primary school in the WF2 area of Wakefield. This is a full-time role, starting immediately and running until the end of the academic year, with the potential for further opportunities.

The Role

  • Delivering planned lessons across the primary age range
  • Providing PPA cover and supporting class teachers
  • Working with individuals and small groups to support learning

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Have recent experience working in a UK primary school
  • Be confident delivering lessons independently
  • Have strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Be flexible, reliable, and committed to supporting pupil progress

Essential Requirements (All Applicants Must Have)

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one through the agency)
  • Two professional references, one of which must be from a recent education setting
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
