As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will:
- Support students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural challenges.
- Help manage and de-escalate difficult situations using positive behaviour strategies.
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support student development.
- Promote confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience in one or more of the following:
- Sports coaching
- Youth work
- Behaviour mentoring
- Learning support
- Residential childcare
- Teaching assistance
- Alternative Provision or PRU settings
- SEMH or SEND environments
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
