Prospero Teaching are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Tutors to support learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across a range of age groups and subjects.
We have a diverse range of tuition placements available for Tutors who can support learners in core subjects (English, Maths, Science) from Primary age through to Post-16. These students are seeking alternative provision and thrive in 1:1 learning environments where they can receive tailored, individualised support.
As a Tutor you will:
- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions
- Support learners with SEN in building confidence and achieving academic goals
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs
- Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders
About you:
- Experience working with young people in UK schools
- Experience working with learners with SEN, SEMH needs, EBSA, physical/emotional dysregulation, and implementing de-escalation strategies
- Calm, nurturing, energetic, and positive
- Strong understanding of safeguarding practices
- Knowledge of the national curriculum
Position – SEN Tutor
Contract or position start date – ASAP

Full time/part-time – Opportunities for both
Hours – 15 Hours per week; for the right candidate, this can be increased to full time.
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools – ESSENTIAL
- Experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up-to-date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
