About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced English and Maths tutors to provide 1:1 support to students in the Hull area. We work with local authorities and councils to arrange these 1:1 tuitions for students currently accessing alternative provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who may require additional support to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions in English and Maths
- Support students in improving academic performance and confidence
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
- QTS (desired but not essential) or previous experience working with students on a 1:1 basis
- Proven track record of improving student performance
- Team Teach qualification (highly desirable, but not required)
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year is desirable; training can be provided if needed)
- DBS registered on the update service
To be Eligible for this Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to apply for one
- Provide two professional references covering the last two years
