Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant in Tottenham, Haringey, to support secondary pupils with additional learning needs. You will help pupils follow instructions, organise their work and take part in lessons across the curriculum. The role is well suited to someone who can explain tasks clearly while protecting pupils' confidence and encouraging independence. Your responsibilities Provide classroom support for pupils with autism, ADHD or literacy difficulties. Use checklists, visual prompts and writing frames agreed with the teacher. Help pupils organise equipment, record homework and manage lesson transitions. Support small-group activities that reinforce literacy and study skills. Feed back on progress, participation and barriers to learning to teaching staff. What you will need Previous UK secondary teaching assistant or learning support experience. Experience supporting SEND and adapting the way tasks are explained. Good literacy and numeracy, with a calm and respectful approach to pupils.Experience supporting EHCP outcomes, dyslexia strategies or exam access arrangements under school direction would be useful.
