The predicted salary is between 23000 - 28000 Β£ per year.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils with a range of additional learning needs access education in a safe, structured, and positive setting. You will play a key role in supporting learning, behaviour, communication, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist with delivering tailored learning activities
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Support pupils with communication and social development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive classroom environment
About You
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Patient, caring, and resilient
- Able to build positive and trusting relationships
- Flexible and willing to learn new approaches
- Team players with strong communication skills
Desirable (not essential)
- Experience working in SEN settings, care, youth work, or education
- Knowledge of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning needs
- Relevant TA qualifications or willingness to work towards them
- First aid or safeguarding training
