We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a supportive Alternative Provision setting in Tiptree, Essex. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people who require additional guidance to succeed in education, both academically and personally.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs
- Assist in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning activities
- Support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Help build students' confidence, engagement, and independence
This Alternative Provision supports students who may have struggled in mainstream education. The environment is nurturing, structured, and focused on helping learners re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, or similar)
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
- Understanding of SEMH needs or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
