About role

Prospero are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Textiles Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Liverpool area. Please see below for further details:

  • Location: Liverpool, L12
  • Position: Textiles Teacher
  • Start date: April 2026
  • Full time/part time: Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay: Paid to scale
  • Hours: 8:00 am - 16:00 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development Delivery: Planning and delivering engaging textiles lessons, including a range of topics.
  • Practical Instruction: Demonstrating techniques using a range of resources.
  • Student Assessment: Setting, marking, and recording student work, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Health Safety: Maintaining a safe classroom environment, managing machinery, and ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.
  • Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students' overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
  • Safeguarding: Ensuring the safeguarding procedure is followed when required.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Previous experience working in a similar role.
