Prospero Teaching are currently working with a large SEN provision in the Chepstow area, to recruit for personal care assistants to start ASAP. This is a long-term position with a likelihood of going permanent for the successful candidate. You will be required to support pupils from early years to KS2 with PMLD, on a 1:1 basis.
The ideal candidate for this role will need to be resilient, as due to the complex needs of the young people, they can exhibit challenging behaviours. You must have previous experience within a similar role, whether this be in a school or care setting.
Position Details:- Location: Chepstow, Monmouthshire
- Type of Work: Temporary Full time only
- Minimum Rate of Pay: £67 per day
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: Ongoing/Temp to Perm
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential, whether it be adult or child, care or school setting
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Manual Handling training is highly desired
- Child and Adult DBS on the update service, or willingness to get one
- Team Teach training is highly desired
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
