Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Wirral, supporting pupils in Key Stage 1. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education to work closely with the class teacher, providing tailored support and helping children achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the KS1 curriculum.
• Deliver small group interventions and provide 1:1 support where needed.
• Assist with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy activities.
• Promote independence, positive behaviour, and engagement in learning.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers and the wider support team.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting (desirable).
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting childrens learning and development.
