About the Level 3 Teaching Assistant role:

Provide daily support to pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs.

Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.

Lead small group and one-to-one intervention sessions to target key areas of learning and behaviour.

Step in to lead the class when required, following plans and maintaining routines.

Encourage positive relationships, emotional regulation, and resilience among pupils.

Implement behaviour support strategies with empathy, patience, and professionalism.

Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to track pupil progress and adapt support strategies.
The ideal Level 3 Teaching Assistant will have a strong understanding of the barriers faced by children with complex needs and will be committed to helping each child thrive through encouragement, consistency, and creativity.
Requirements for the Level 3 Teaching Assistant:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).

Experience supporting pupils with complex needs, trauma, ASD, ADHD, or SEMH.
