Teaching Assistant SEN Full Time in Knowsley L28, Β£94 - Β£110 per day, 08:20am - 15:20pm.
Prospero Teaching is working with a SEN School based in Knowsley L28, which supports students with additional needs, mental health issues, and learning difficulties. The pupils have usually experienced some form of trauma, neglect, or chaotic home life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a connection with the young people and act as a mentor and role model for the students.
- Have a strong TA or Tutoring background with students from PRUs or SEMH schools.
- Forge strong relationships with pupils to help them overcome barriers in the classroom.
- Use mentoring skills to help individuals engage with the school.
- Support the pupil in the classroom and out of the classroom on a more vocational basis.
- Work within the Secondary site at the school with ages from 11 to 17 years.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar setting / SEMH/PRU.
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent and above is preferable.
- GCSE Maths and English and computer literate.
- Hold Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional child-related references covering at least the last two years.
