We are recruiting on behalf of secondary schools across Newcastle seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students in KS3, KS4 and KS5 settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on young people s education, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. About the role: Supporting students aged 11-19 across all year groups, depending on your preference and experience. Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Providing tailored academic and pastoral support on a 1:1 basis. Supporting small groups of students, typically between 3-5 pupils. Helping to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff. Encouraging student engagement, confidence and independence in the classroom. Pay, Hours and Contract: Pay: 15 - 17 per hour Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Full-time, temporary position with the potential to become permanent Start Date: September 2026 Location: Newcastle Experience, Qualifications and Requirements: Previous experience working in a school, education, childcare, youth work or support-based setting is desirable.
