SEMH Nurture Group Leader
Overview
Prospero Teaching is seeking a caring teacher to run a Nurture Group within a specialist, vibrant and supportive secondary school in Swinton. The role is available immediately and may become a permanent position. The school caters for students with SEMH and complex needs.
Responsibilities
- You will lead a small class of six Year 10 and 11 students who have social communication needs, emotional regulation difficulties and sensory processing differences, typically associated with autism.
- You will create a safe, structured, supportive environment that helps pupils build confidence, resilience and positive learning habits.
- Additional duties include maintaining behaviour-management strategies and supporting pupils with additional learning needs.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
- QTS, PGCE or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a UK school
- Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year is desirable but not essential, as Prospero Teaching offers a free course
Eligibility Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references
