Contract Type - Full-Time, Temp to Perm

Prospero Teaching are currently working with a large SEN provision in the Cheadle area to recruit for support workers to start in September. This is a full-time position starting in September, supporting children with PMLD on a 1:1 basis. The role is initially temporary, however there is a potential for a permanent contract if successful.

The ideal candidate for this role will need to be resilient, as due to the complex needs of the young people, they can exhibit challenging behaviours. You must have previous personal care experience, whether this be in a school or care setting.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential, whether it be adult or child
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Manual Handling training is highly desired

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
