Be ready to discuss specific strategies you've used in the past to support students with complex needs. This shows that you’re not just familiar with the terms but have practical experience.

    ✨Familiarise Yourself with Behaviour Policies

Before the interview, take some time to understand common behaviour policies in schools. Be prepared to share how you’ve successfully followed or implemented these policies in previous roles. This will demonstrate your ability to adapt to different school environments.

Think of examples where you collaborated effectively with others to support students. This will help the interviewer see you as a team player who can fit into their school culture.

    ✨Prepare Questions for Them

Interviews are a two-way street! Prepare thoughtful questions about the school's approach to SEN and how they support their teaching assistants. This not only shows your interest in the role but also helps you gauge if the school is the right fit for you.
