Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Altrincham on a full-time basis from September 2026.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a friendly and nurturing pre-school provision, and the candidate must hold a EYFS qualification.
The school is a diverse, happy and inclusive two-form entry setting with a high percentage of EAL children.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
About the Role
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that support children’s learning and development.
- Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Building positive, caring relationships with children to support their emotional wellbeing and confidence.
- Ensuring children’s health, safety, and welfare by following safeguarding and health and safety policies.
- Meeting children’s individual needs, including supporting children with additional needs or disabilities.
- Working in partnership with parents and carers by sharing information about children’s development and wellbeing.
- Supporting children’s personal care, including toileting, handwashing, mealtimes, and encouraging independence.
- Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns promptly in line with setting procedures.
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
- References covering the last 24 months
