Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a SEND Support Staff to join a specialist school in Somerset, supporting students aged 5 - 18 who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for Autism, Anxiety and associated needs.

The Role

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism, Anxiety and associated needs.
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans and behaviour strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SEN team to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and academic progress.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN needs (school or care setting).
  • Strong communication and resilience skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and manage challenging behaviour.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Right to Work in the UK.
