Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a full-time Science Teacher (any specialism) to join a high-performing secondary school in Stockport, starting June 2026, on a long-term/temp to perm basis, until at least the end of the summer term. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher (any specialism) to join a thriving and supportive school community in Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to begin their teaching career in a well-resourced, forward-thinking environment.
As a Teacher of Science, you will play a key role in inspiring and engaging pupils through creative and inclusive teaching. The school prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere, strong leadership, and commitment to staff development.
Pay: 168-260 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term, temp to perm.
Start: 1st June 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs
- Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes progress and wellbeing
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Collaborating with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential
- Contributing to school life through involvement in extracurricular activities and initiatives
The ideal Teacher of Science will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT with placement experience
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and child development
- Be confident in behaviour management and classroom organisation
- Bring creativity, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills to the role
- Have a commitment to raising achievement and supporting the wider school community
