About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Maths & English Tutor to join our team in the Stockport/South Manchester area for an ASAP start. This flexible, part-time role offers GBP30 per hour minimum, with the potential for a higher rate based on your availability. Sessions will be delivered during school hours, and can take place in school, at the students home, or online, depending on your availability and student needs. The role is for approximately 20 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours based on student demand and availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored Maths and English lessons that meet the academic and emotional needs of each student.
  • Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and school staff.
  • Develop and implement personalised lesson plans, adapting your teaching methods to each students learning style and emotional needs.

Essential Requirements

  • At least 6 months of experience teaching or tutoring Maths and English to children.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with children with severe SEN, particularly those with SEMH needs.
  • You must be cleared to work with children (DBS check required).

Additional Information

The role is part-time, with sessions taking place during school hours (Monday to Friday). Sessions can be delivered in school, at the students home, or online, based on availability and the preferences of the student.
