Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for an experienced 1:1 Tutor in Staffordshire, ideally with experience within a SEN setting. We are a Teaching Agency that strives to make a positive impact in young people's lives by supporting their development and education. Our Children's Education Team works with local authorities throughout the North-West to support vulnerable pupils currently outside of mainstream education.
Subject areas include: Math, English, Science.
Contract/Position Details:
- Location - within the community or pupil's home in Staffordshire
- Position - SEN Tutor
- Type of work - Contract
- Start date - ASAP
- Duration - ongoing support
- Part-time
- Minimum rate of pay - GBP25/hr
- Hours - 8am - 4pm*
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on Update Service
- Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
- 2 years of professional references
- QTS or equivalent Tutoring experience
- Experience working within a SEN setting (preferred, but not required)
The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1:1 basis. A therapeutic approach may also be needed to re-engage students with their learning. The aim is to provide the pupil with structure in their daily routine and to continue their education.
