Prospero Teaching is working with a fantastic secondary school that is looking to recruit either an ECT or experienced Teacher of Religious Education (RE). We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RE Teacher to join a thriving and supportive school based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

This position is due to start in September 2026 and is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers. The ideal Teacher of RE will be enthusiastic, committed, and able to inspire students across all key stages.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons within a secondary school setting. This is a large, mixed secondary school with excellent facilities and a strong commitment to staff development. The school prides itself on creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Staff benefit from ongoing CPD opportunities, in-school training, and a collaborative teaching culture.

You will be joining a successful and well-established Humanities department. The position is open to both RE ECTs and experienced RE teachers. The school offers a wide range of professional development opportunities. Religious Education is taught across KS3, KS4, and KS5. The school is situated in a well-connected location with excellent transport links and onsite parking available.
