Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons based on individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCPs Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH and learning disabilities Create a safe, structured, and stimulating classroom environment Use a range of teaching strategies and assistive technologies to meet diverse learning needs Track and assess pupil progress, maintaining clear and accurate records Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCo, therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic support Build positive, respectful relationships with pupils, families, and carers Contribute to wider school life, including planning interventions, attending review meetings, and engaging in CPD opportunities Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching children with special educational needs, either in a mainstream or specialist setting A strong understanding of SEN best practices, EHCP implementation, and inclusive pedagogy Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills A flexible, nurturing, and resilient approach Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child development Commitment to ongoing professional development and inclusive education
