We are looking for an SEN teaching assistant with a real passion for helping children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will be qualified/experienced. Newly qualified Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching assistants are welcome to apply. This is an opportunity based in Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield. Full‑time roles available.

Location: Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant.

Contract type: Long‑term.

Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Mon‑Fri (term‑time only).

Pay rate: £90–£110 (negotiable and dependant on experience/qualifications).

Start date: ASAP.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and scaffold children in the classroom.
  • Prepare resources with the teacher.
  • Work effectively in partnership with other professionals and parents/carers.
  • Adapt practice to support the varied needs of children.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • At least Level 2 trained.
  • GCSE English and Maths grade C.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child‑barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child‑related references.
