Prospero Teaching – SEN TA – Chorley
The School is a well‑run SEMH Secondary in Chorley. We need an enthusiastic and driven TA to support a young person with complex SEN needs.
Overview
This is a temporary full‑time SEN TA role. You will work 1‑to‑1 with a complex young person presenting with ADHD, autism, emotional regulation difficulties and backgrounds of trauma. You must be comfortable with challenging behaviour and able to break down barriers to learning.
Responsibilities
- Work 1‑to‑1 with a complex learner from 0830 to 1530.
- Engage with challenging behaviour and support the learner to access their curriculum.
- Support the learning team with lesson planning and classroom management.
- Participate in ongoing staff development and training.
Qualifications & Experience
- Up to date safeguarding training (last year) – can be provided if needed.
- Previous experience working within outdoor education is desired.
- Experience with Team Teach training or willingness to be trained.
- Hold Right to Work in the UK and an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate – if not, we can process a new one.
- Provide professional references covering 2 years.

- Location: Chorley
- Hours: 0830–1530
- Rate of pay: £95–£105 per day
- Type of work: Temporary full time only
- Start date: ASAP (ongoing – Temp to Perm)
