Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | Term-Time

Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and engaging Spanish Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition in Blackfen. This role involves supporting students of varying ages and abilities, from beginners to GCSE and A-Level learners, helping them develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Spanish.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tutor with strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a personalised approach to learning. The successful tutor will be able to tailor sessions to individual learning goals, whether academic achievement, exam preparation, or conversational fluency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and personalised Spanish tuition tailored to the student's ability and learning objectives.
  • Support students preparing for GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations.
  • Develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through interactive and structured lessons.
  • Build student confidence in conversational Spanish using practical, real-life scenarios.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents/carers where appropriate.
  • Create a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages language development.
Requirements:
  • Experience teaching or tutoring Spanish to children, young people, or adults.
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and culture.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience supporting students through GCSE and A-Level Spanish examinations.
  • Native or near-native Spanish speaker.
  • Experience delivering online tuition.
  • Degree in Spanish, Languages, Education, or a related field.
