Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Southend, starting September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and looking to develop their skills within a nurturing school environment that offers strong mentorship and ongoing professional development.
The school is looking for a committed practitioner with effective behaviour management skills, strong communication abilities, and proven experience supporting children with SEN across the primary age range.
CONTRACT DETAILS- Location - Southend
- Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
- Type of work - Classroom & 1:1 SEN support
- Start date - September
- Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
- Full time/part-time - Full time
- Rate of pay - £90-£120 per day (depending on experience)
- Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm
- SEN experience is essential (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language, or other additional needs)
- Experience supporting children in a UK primary school (placements accepted)
- Relevant TA or SEN-specific training desirable
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
- Provide two professional child-related references
