About the Role
/n
We're looking for a compassionate and engaging Primary SEN Tutor to support children across the BCP area through personalised 1:1 tuition.
/n
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored educational support to primary-aged learners who require alternative provision or additional help to access learning. Many of the children we support have SEND, EHCPs, or barriers that have impacted their education, making a patient and flexible approach essential.
/n
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young learners, helping them develop confidence, make academic progress, and build positive relationships with education.

- Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Requirements
/n
/n
- Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
/n
- Experience supporting primary-aged children
/n
- Experience working with SEND learners is desirable
/n
- Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches
/n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
/n
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
/n
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
/n
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel within the local area
/n
/n

- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

- ADHD

- Anxiety and school avoidance

- EHCPs and additional learning needs

Each learner requires an individualised approach, with sessions tailored to their strengths, interests, and educational goals.
