Prospero Teaching collaborates with local councils and SEND teams across the UK to deliver tailored educational support. We specialize in assisting individuals outside of mainstream education, those requiring additional help, and students with SEND. We are currently seeking qualified Tutors in and around Wandsworth to provide after-school booster sessions.

These 1:1 tuition sessions will take place in students’ homes or at local libraries. The focus will be on core subjects - Maths, English, and Science - helping students prepare for their upcoming GCSE exams.

  • Location: Within the community or pupils’ home in Wandsworth
  • Position: English, Maths and Science Tutor
  • Type of work: Contract
  • Duration: Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Full-time/part-time: Part time (15 hours per week, per student)
  • Minimum rate of pay: £22+ per hour
  • Hours: Working hours can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the English, Maths and Science Tutor:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Primary Outreach Tutor must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
