Overview
We are currently recruiting reliable and passionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs in primary and secondary schools across Liverpool.
This role is ideal for someone who is committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in an inclusive educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Work on a 1:1 basis or with small groups to deliver targeted interventions
- Collaborate with teaching staff and the school SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with classroom management and lesson preparation
Qualifications
- Experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs (school-based experience preferred)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Two relevant references covering the last 2 years
- Strong communication skills and a flexible, patient approach
- A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs
