Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Specialist Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to young people across Kensington & Chelsea. You will provide tailored support in Maths and English, working with learners who may be out of school due to a range of additional needs. The role requires a patient, adaptable tutor who can create structured, engaging sessions that rebuild confidence and promote steady academic progress.
Tuition is typically 10‑15 hours per week, delivered in the home or community. Many pupils have experienced disrupted education, so the ability to differentiate, build rapport, and create a safe, supportive learning environment is essential. Experience, Training and Qualifications
- Teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent) – essential
- Strong experience supporting pupils with SEN
- Ability to deliver Maths and English at an appropriate level
- Minimum 6 months' experience in a UK school or tuition setting
- Up‑to‑date Safeguarding Training – desirable

- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
- Provide two professional references covering the last two years
