The Opportunity Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND. We are currently looking for Tutors who have experience supporting SEN children in year 8 and 9 who are currently working below their age expected attainment levels and not currently accessing mainstream education. Some of these children and young people are disengaged learners, so require a tutor who is able to increase engagement and help them achieve a qualification. Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have QTS, a PGCE or equivalent. Position Details: Position: SEN Tutors Hours: 10 hours a week Start date: ASAP Location: Bromley Duration: ongoing Experience, Training and Qualifications: QTS or equivalent – ability to teach SEN Year 8/9 students Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils UK classroom teaching experience Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box To be eligible for this role, the potential SEN Tutor must: Hold the right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references.
