About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to provide tailored educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work closely with learners, parents, and educational professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition for students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans based on each studentβs needs and goals.
- Monitor and assess progress, providing regular feedback to parents and relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with schools, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to learning.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with safeguarding and confidentiality policies.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties).
- Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies and SEN best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., QTS, SEN training, or equivalent experience).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
