About the Role
You will provide personalised tuition to students who may face additional challenges, including:
- SEN (Special Educational Needs)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
- Trauma
- Risk of Permanent Exclusion (PEX)
Your sessions will help learners build confidence, engage positively, and achieve academic success.
As a Tutor, you will:
- Deliver tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Support emotional well-being and encourage positive engagement
- Work 1:1 or in small groups, adapting strategies for complex needs
- Track progress and share feedback with parents and schools
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
About you
- Minimum 1 year of experience in UK schools in roles such as Tutor, Teacher, Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, ELSA, or 1:1 support
- Experience working with learners with additional needs
- Strong communication and organisational skills

Essential & Desirable Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
- Experience of working with learners with SEN
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
