Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in the Cornwall area. This is an excellent opportunity to support children with a range of special educational needs in a warm, inclusive and supportive school environment.
The Role
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and cognition & learning needs
- Helping pupils access the curriculum and engage positively in lessons
- Delivering targeted interventions and supporting differentiated learning activities
- Creating a calm, structured and nurturing learning space
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, independence and confidence
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (school, care, support work, youth work, etc.)
- Patient, resilient, calm and empathetic
- Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Proactive, adaptable and confident in supporting behaviour
- Holds an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
