Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – Preston

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a teaching assistant with experience supporting ASD to join a lovely school in the Preston area. This is a full time position to start as soon as possible.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups
  • Preparing learning resources and activities
  • Positively and effectively managing behaviour
  • Building a supportive and nurturing learning environments
  • Liaising with other staff to monitor progress of the pupils

Position Details

  • Location : Preston
  • Position : SEN TA
  • Hours : 8am‑4pm, Mon‑Fri
  • Type of Work : Temporary
  • Full time / Part time : Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay : £110 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date : ASAP
  • End date : Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications

  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Previous experience supporting children with complex needs in a school setting
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desired
  • Team Teach training is highly desirable

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
