Job description

SEN Teacher – Oldham:

Prospero Teaching are currently looking for an experienced SEN teacher to join a lovely school in the Oldham area. This is a full time position to start ASAP.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver lessons adapted for children with SEN
  • Use a range of strategies to support individual learning needs and EHCPs
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SLT and external specialists
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
  • Build positive relationships with parents and caregivers
  • Adopt an inclusive, nurturing environment where children can thrive
  • Position Details:

  • Position: SEN Teacher
  • Location: Oldham area
  • Hours: 8:45am-3:45pm, Mon-Fri
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £170 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing
  • Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential
  • Experience teaching functional skills, within SEN
  • Strong understanding of the curriculum framework and SEN best practices
  • A patient, nurturing and creative attitude
  • ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
